Database Connectivity

Postmortem

The issue at hand is related to locks on active temporary reservations in our reservation system, causing slowness for certain hotels and third-party service providers.

We first detected the issue at 18:30 Europe/Oslo, and deployed multiple mitigations that resulted in temporary stability. At around 19:45 Europe/Oslo we deployed our final mitigation, which resulted in greater stability and the issue has since been closed.

Alongside our current mitigations, we have identified multiple viable long-term changes and solutions that are being actively worked on. In addition to this, we are working on some larger changes to our reservation system to make it more robust and give a better user experience and functionality overall.

We apologize for the inconveniences these issues may have caused.
